ERNA'S GOURMET
Erna’s Gourmet tells the story of ethnic, rustic, home-cooked Austrian European food, done professionally – started in 2007 by Maya Lisa Shankar. The initial branding was done in 2010. Maya named the venture after her grandmother, Erna; on the milestone occasion of her one-hundredth birthday, she decided to get a rebranding done.

The rebranding exercise aimed to ensure that the brand identity remained relevant, modern, and adaptable to the rapidly changing industry. I was tasked with creating a new identity and brand language for Erna's, while still incorporating the mnemonic of the grandmother, which had become an integral part of the brand. To reinforce the vintage vibe, I used a colour palette of beige, blue, and saturated orange, and carried this look and feel through a set of icons, a rotational menu, and various placards and packaging collaterals, ensuring that the brand had a rustic and familiar feel to customers.
